Eastland Preparatory Academy is a tuition-free public charter school serving grades K through 8 in Southeast Columbus, Ohio. The school operates on a whole-child college prep model, which means academic instruction and your child’s emotional, social, and personal growth aren’t treated as separate tracks. They’re woven together. Every classroom is equipped with Smartboards and one-to-one Chromebooks for hands-on, project-based learning. Teachers meet your child where he or she actually is, not where the curriculum guide says a generic student should be.
The school outperforms Columbus City Schools. That sentence carries weight in Southeast Columbus, where parents have watched promises come and go. The results here aren’t promises. They’re documented.
Eastland partners with the Braxton Miller Empower Program, a partnership with former Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller that provides academic enrichment and wellness sessions in fall, winter/spring, and summer. Students also have access to Coding Instruction through Amazon, project-based learning through Young Engineers of Tomorrow, Career Exploration Pathways, and a full slate of Athletics and Clubs.
